Success is not defined
by how much money you make.

Success is defined
by the difference you make.

“A Mantra of Success”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Month by Administrator on the November 30th, 2009

We have everything
we need
to be successful
in our endeavors.

And, anything that is lacking
internally or externally
will eventually manifest itself

as long as we move forward
with intense passion,
persistence,
and absolute clarity
of vision and purpose.

Life is a Journey.

Some say,
a journey of a thousand steps.

And, in knowing that
Today is not Tomorrow.
And,
Tomorrow is not Today.

We can choose
to live more fully in the moment.

To be content with taking
one step at a time.

We can more fully appreciate
the changing colors of the leaves
in all of Life’s Seasons.

We can more patiently accept
that there are cycles in life
that extend far beyond
the finality of Death.

The cycles of Rebirth,
of Transformation,
of Love and Happiness.

We can more fully embrace
life’s times of harvest
as well as life’s season’s
of grief and mourning

when we learn
to embrace life completely,
in all of its complexity,

by focusing on the simplicity of life.

“Openness”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Week by Administrator on the August 11th, 2009

“Openness”

An open Heart.
An open Mind.
An open Spirit.

leads to greater peace,
happiness, and fulfillment.

A closed Heart.
A closed Mind.
A closed Spirit.

blocks the flow of love
and positive energy;
limits knowledge and understanding;
impedes one’s growth.

“Focused Energy”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Week by Administrator on the July 31st, 2009

“Focused Energy”

The ability
to set things in motion.

To create something
from nothing.

To bring things
to life.

It all comes
from one’s ability
to focus his or her energy
in a specific direction
for a sustained period of time.

It comes from one’s ability
to learn to maximize
The Mental.

The Spiritual.

The Physical.

and, The Emotional Energy
in one’s life

and, in one’s environment.

It comes from
learning, over time,
that one’s ability to remain focused
on his or her goals
is deeply rooted in one’s ability
to consistently focus one’s thoughts
and one’s energy

on an ideal state of being
and the intended destination.

There is a path
we all must walk.

A journey we all
must take

in this lifetime.

One that is
soon forgotten.

Or,
one that is
Long remembered.

“Give”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Week by Administrator on the July 22nd, 2009

“Give”

Give.

Give.

Give.

Even when it hurts
to give.

Give of your Time.

Give of your Energy.

Give of your Love.

Give of your Gifts
and Talents.

Maintain a Mindset
of Giving
because this is the
Circle of Life.

Embrace the symbiotic relationship
of Giving and Receiving,
of Beginnings and Endings,
of Life and Death.

Give, and Receive.
Receive, and Give.

“Untitled”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Week by Administrator on the July 14th, 2009

“Untitled”

The clouds opened up
and rain poured
after the long drought.

The blue skies
canvassing the relentless heat
of the blazing sun
that burned our flesh
for days on end

Instantaneously,
became a reservoir of life
quenching our thirst beyond measure.

This is the story of life.

that,
just as Nature
has its own Cycles.

and, Life has its own
Seasons.

Humans have their own
stages of development.

Birth.
Infancy.
Adolescence.
Adulthood.

And, since the beginning of time,
Native Americans
have danced to their God
until the rain poured.

Christians around the world
have prayed
to Jesus

until miracles were performed.

To begin to see myself,
My life in this way
is an amazing revelation.

“A Philosopher Says…”

Posted in Anthony Parnell's Poem/Thought of the Week by Administrator on the July 2nd, 2009

“A Philosopher Says…”

Is he a philosopher
or, is he a man
who has studied
The science of Life
and stories of success
and failure.

Stories of the materialization
of unlimited potential
and stories of
limited expectations
of life
and of oneself.

The pursuit of love.
The pursuit of wealth.
The pursuit of fame.

The philosopher says,
That what we really want…
our most intense desires
reside
at the core of our thoughts
and our beliefs about ourselves
and the possibilities of life itself.

That life
truly is a canvas
upon which we paint
the unfolding of yesterdays,
today’s and tomorrow’s reality.

While some believe
and intensely argue
that life is merely the consequence
of our social conditioning
and the opportunities that life presents us,

The philosopher says…
that in the pursuit and attainment
of any goal
there are consequences and sacrifices,
known and unknown,
that must be made
in pursuit of that goal.

Our ability to attain our goals
and create the life we want,
is dependent upon
the combination of three things:

1. Knowing, with tremendous clarity, what it is that you want.

2. Believing, with all of your heart and mind, you will have what it is that you want.

3. A willingness to do whatever it takes to get what you want.

“The Day Michael Jackson Died”

Posted in Uncategorized by Administrator on the June 26th, 2009

“The Day Michael Jackson Died”

We all are a spirit
that will pass on
to the afterlife
some day.

We all live.
And
We all will die
Physically
while our spirit
lives on….

Michael Jackson
Died today.

Yes, Michael Jackson died
Today.

Where were you?

Where was I?

It seemed bittersweet for me
given all of the media rumors
over the last few years

I had decided to just stop listening
Anymore
to anything else controversial
about the artist extraordinaire

like so many other prominent celebrities
and athletes of our time.

But, to hear that
Michael Jackson had passed,

I’m certain that
like myself,
it made millions pause,
around the world

take a moment,
several moments….
of silence.

then, you or someone you know
was suddenly compelled
to call, text or email
family and friends

just to see
if they, too, had heard the news.

that
Michael Jackson died
today.

Physically, he is no more,
but his music…

Yes, his amazing music will live on.

“Thank You” Michael Jackson
for the inspiration you brought to my life
and millions of others.

“Thank You” for the imagination
that you sparked in all of us
to discover our life’s passion
and to fully devote ourselves
to using our gifts and talents
to touch the lives of others.
